and
Liberating The Undermine

Lifewarden
has been revamped as a melee DPS, tank, and healer. Added many new abilities and a unique tanking style.
NEW SUGGESTIONS
Game Play, Gear and Combat - Game Play - Torch: Creates a torch glow around your character lighting the area around you within 10 yards. Only visable during night.
Game Play, Gear and Combat - Game Play - Mature Filter (Not Profanity): Toggles a mature filter giving the game a more adult version. This version isn't more "indecently exposed" but adds blood, gore, and more of a horror scene where it is needed.
Player Interaction - Dungeons and Raiding - Rate Someone: Rate someone on a scale from 1 to 5 with 1 being the worst. This is meant for you and you only. It is to help you remember how good players are especially with the new cross realms LFG system.
Player Interaction - Dungeons and Raiding - Dungeon Difficulty: Three difficulties for all 5, 10 and 25 man dungeons - Regular, Moderate and Hell (or Heroic).
Class Changes and Additions - Death Knight - Against the Elements: (deep-in-each-tree talent) Reduces area of effect damage taken by 75% and the cost of wear and tear on your armor and weapons by 100%. This does not work with deaths or resurrecting from spirit healers.
Class Changes and Additions - Mage - Mirror Image: Conjures 3 mirror images of the mage dealing no damage or effects but increasing damage done by 20%.
Class Changes and Additions - Mage - Glyph of Mirror Image: Increases the Mirror Image bonus by an extra 10%.
Class Changes and Additions - Mage - Improved Cone of Cold: (frost talent) Increases the damage dealt by your Cone of Cold spell by 35%
and gives this spell a 100% chance to knock back it's enemies by 20 yards
.
Class Changes and Additions - Paladin - Against the Elements: (protection talent) Reduces area of effect damage taken by 75% and the cost of wear and tear on your armor and weapons by 100%. This does not work with deaths or resurrecting from spirit healers. This also increases expertise by 4 (druids get a 10 expertise talent).
Class Changes and Additions - Warrior - Improved Thunder Clap: Reduces the cost of your Thunder Clap ability by 4 rage points and increases the damage by 30% and the slowing effect by an additional 10%
and reduces the cool down by 3 seconds
.
Class Changes and Additions - Warrior - Against the Elements: (protection talent) Reduces area of effect damage taken by 75% and the cost of wear and tear on your armor and weapons by 100%. This does not work with deaths or resurrecting from spirit healers. Also when reduced passed 35% only reduces you to 34% of your health and reducing damage taken by 20% for 4 seconds. (Other tanks have this talent other than Druids which I have suggestion for them).
Professions - Mining: Every zone contains a "Possible Mine" which have a chance of opening a passage into an underground cave revealing nodes of ore.
Professions - Crafting Speed Puzzle: Add a simple game either like a puzzle which increases crafting speed the more pieces you connect. This will also make it slightly more entertaining to sit and craft.

This has been my 12th post about this. I've had versions until someone told me about blogs and just updating this post. So I'm doing this. I've had this kind of post before and a moderator posted on it and he seemed to have no complaints. I've had feedback to make it shorter and this is literally as short as I can make the post.
Thanks for your feedback and you're welcome.

Making this Blog-style really made my feedback drop to 0...
Suggestion: When you have made changes/additions/whatever, post here what you changed - makes it easier to figure out what's new and all, without having to read it all again.
... but then again, my suggestions are obviously horrible, as I was the one (or one of those) that suggested the "blog type of posts".

You're suggestions aren't horrible. I will be adding in a "New" suggestions at the top soon. This blog post style does give me a little more readers but almost no feedback which feedback is 80% of the fun.

I'll be even more disappointed if we don't see Fang from The Lost Vikings II.

Very true - I know the feeling, don't worry. Will look forward to the "New"-thing, will probably get more feedback too, as it should be easier to see what's changed/added/whatever since the previous iteration.
... Anyway, I better add some feedback myself, instead of talking about anything else than the matter at hand. First of all, get the "Powered by Wowhead"-script, so you'll get the nice tooltip boxes, everytime you link something on the site. Would work very well when describing skill-changes etc, so it's easy to see what's changed :)
Gameplay and Combat:
Casting - I somehow liked suggestion, but changing race is a bit overkill. One thing however is perhaps to cast the same way as other races (ie. their animations/arm-movements).
Climbing/Jumping - Would be awesome, but somehow semi-pointless with flying implemented. It would be great for inside though. Jumping is more of a cosmetic thing, and doesn't serve any real use (except perhaps in BFD). The cosmetic thing is probably why we don't see it as a NPC-thing, but would be nice if they could use it to get across gabs and such that would otherwise allow us to kite, and take advantage of the pathing.
Combat - The purpose of Cataclysm is to get stats simplified, so I doubt adding different types of Resistance would help anything. Especially extremely horrible for tanks - imagine the different amounts of gear they need to have. Yikes.
Servers - Great thing with the estimated players. Perhaps add in a "Of all characters on the Realm" and "Currently online", which would be quite relevant when choosing at that exact moment.
Communication - empty? Anything supposed to be there...?
Class Changes and Additions:
Druid - the forms thing was stated to be in the works for both Moonkin and Tree of Life, but doesn't seem to have an estimated time (thus, it's not really a suggestion - it will happen eventually!). The more basic Bear and Cat seemed to have large priority.
Paladin - Freedom isn't a blessing, but I guess you meant Sanctuary when talking about stacking with Kings.
Shaman - Perhaps simply just get "Earthquake", like in War 3, that applies the Earthshock-debuff to targets while caught in the AoE (yes, very similar to Blizzard - but well. Sovereign and Weapon Imbues is awesome.
Cataclysm Racial and Combinations:
All - Resistance is buffed too much. Racials are after all meant to be minor things, not game-changing. Especially for tanks, alot of these will make a specific race much more suited to tank a specific encounter than others.
Tauren - Endurance is way too overpowered. Would you ever have any other race than tauren as maintank now? No? That settles it then :P
Undead - Canibalize sounds quite overpowered too - especially in PvP.
Blood Elf - Magic resistance is a bit over the top. 2% less chance to be hit is essentially already a 2% lesser damage taken, so an additional 2% on top of that is a bit over the top (see the "all" above).
Night Elf - Forget what I wrote about Tauren, the new Quickness beats that by loads - and Blood Elves too. In short: Overpowered! :P
Transportation:
Mounts - Speeds are fine as they is, but the "fastest mount you own affects every mount" is great. I'm somehow sure I heard a blue saying something about this being thought of, but can't recall it.
Professions:
Enchanting - Disenchanting should be restricted to BoE and the enchanters own gear. The materials is a bonus, not something that should happen to every unused item.
Woodcarving - Yes indeed. Staffs, Bows and such would be good. It would basically cover what we can't already craft.
Gathering skills - Would say they are fine as they are. Adding new ways to get it very easy would probably make it worth even less.
Lifewarden (Hero Class):
Could work, if the class starts at around level 80 (as Freya is corrupted until the point where she's "killed" in Ulduar). Perhaps some quests from before - and during - the corruption, so that you quest in 3 stages.
Character Customizing:
Races - I think we got quite enough at the moment, with Worgen and Goblins coming up. The only ones that would really work in my opinion from that list is Furbolgs - which was probably one of the most popular rumored new races.
Sub-races - Most likely impossible, as it would require a silly amount of Lore-revamping to fit them in. Many of them wasn't discovered or heard of at the point of Level 1, thus making it rather impossible. Also, the Highborne is coming back, as Night Elf Mages, so to say.
Quests and Leveling:
Yes, more class quests!
Player Interaction:
Vault of Archavon will have a forth inhabitant in Patch 3.3, completing the 4 "elements" (Ice, Fire, Earth and Storm).
... and now my fingers need rest.

Game Play
Casting: Yeah I wanted to just be the casting animation with how they move while casting.
Climbing: Indoor ladders is mostly what I'm talking about. Also possibly in battlegrounds have ladders.
Physical Resistances: True but I haven't liked how simple this game has become. It needs more difficulty. It would only be like resilience so a PvP thing and wouldn't really involve raiding. I'll add this to my post.
Servers: Yup. You got the exact idea!
Communication: Damn it! Lol!
Class Changes and Additions
Druid Forms: Cool! I haven't read about that yet.
Paladins: I'm going to change it to Hand of Protection and those short duration Hands and not the Blessings. So if you put Blessing of Kings on a target then put Hand of Freedom it doesn't get rid of the Blessing. I could be an idiot and they've changed this already. I'm leveling a protection paladin and I love it but have yet to use HoP or HoF because I'm THAT good! Hehe...
Shaman: I did think about the Earthquake but there's too many "Point and Click" area of effect spells that it needed more of a twist with "Loosen" and "Lift". But Earthquake is a good idea. Possibly have that then a wind storm afterwords. Earthquake to stun/snare and then the storm to deal damage. IDK but I'll think more about it after my vacationing.
Cataclysm Racial and Combination
Resistances: Yeah, I figured they would be. I'll change that. Blood Elf one ROCKS! Lol!
Tauren: True. I'll change it. I've never liked the profession racials so I might do something different with Cultivation possibly like a healing buff taken for 12 seconds. (Make it small like 10%)
Undead: I'll change it to a reduced amount of healing. Like 2% every second for 10 seconds (20% instead of 35%).
Blood Elf/Night Elf: Hehe. Changing all of the resistances.
Transportation
Mounts: You're right. I had the idea like 2 days before Blizzcon 2009 and they talked about it in the Q&A.
Professions
Enchanting: The reason why I did this was so enchanters could have another way to get money other than DE'ing greens and old epics then AH them for 30g for Abyss Crystals and 10g for Dream Shards. Just another "Tips Appreciated" addition.
Woodcarving: You got it! You're the type of feedback I've been wanting for o' let's say 3 years. I've had old suggestions that had roughly 300 but most were stupid and kind of pointless.
Gathering: I thought up of this idea after Blizzcon 2009 when they said they're making these gathering professions more entertaining. Had some help with Star Wars Galaxies but put the all-awesome WoW twist to it.
Lifewarden
I'll add more into how this will begin. That is a great idea of how it will build up. Level 80 would work but only if you stayed at 80 for a while (possibly as long as a normal 20 levels). And you must have a level 85 on the server and possibly complete the Ulduar bosses. Tie it in with Ulduar somehow. This game needs another Healer class and I thought this would be a good addition.
Character Customization
Races: I guess but mostly I wanted them to be "tribes" (Alliance) and "clans" (Horde) to have sub-races which changes your character's race just a little. Maybe have a "Heritage" quest chain that gives you a slight change after discovering your family's roots.
Quests and Leveling
Yup!
Player Interaction
So where would this Ice boss be located? Was just my idea of making stupid PuGs run only Koralon and forgetting Emalon. This would make people want to down all 3 bosses then the 4th boss (Ice) pop out and say hello.
PS: Thanks for the feedback! Awesome job!

Oh yeah... when you make new stuff, don't just edit the original post, but do a reply to this thread with the changes.
Makes it easier to read, to comment on - and bumps the thread! Everyone wins. Anyway... about the new stuff:
1. Game play: Draenei Shields, Join Dance, Area Looting, Alternative Character Titles, Gear
Agreed on Shiels, dance thingie, a title for alts - and hell yeah with the cloak :)
The Area looting is a bit... strange, as you'd have to be in range to loot the individual one. So, I guess if the range was changed to "within actual lootrange", it would be very nifty.
2. Dungeons and Raiding: Disenchant Loot Option
Blizzard beat you to it, ideawise (look on the PTR) - but eh, where is this one described?
3. Vocational Dungeon: Layout, Boss
Can't find this one either...
4. Hunter: Rapid Fire
Sounds funky, but I'm pretty sure that the intention is to let ranged classes remain standing still. The idea is decent though.
5. Shaman: Loosen Earth (Earthquake), Lift Earth (Storm)
Right, so basically you have to loosen the earth before you can start tossing things about... Could work out pretty well if the first one didn't trigger a GCD, but had a cooldown of some time, so that you could keep doing damage to a spot, but had to wait a bit to change the place you were aoe'ing.
6. Warlock: Improved Pet
Not described anywhere? Also, a skill that's basically what one of the talent-specs is about? I'm confused.
7. Cataclysm Racial and Combinations: All resistance racials have been changed back to Live version
Goodie - was overpowered anyway :P
8. Professions: Linen Bandage of Mana
Just have a mana version of every bandage, that gives a fitting amount of mana (I guess 75% of the respective health given).
9. Quests and Leveling: Fast One Handed Heirloom, Low Level Defense Gear, Heirloom Shields, Heirloom Tanking Gear
Goodie, would make it funky to level as a tank spec! I guess a shield would be enough however, for leveling purposes.
10. Expansion Ideas: The Scarlet Prophet changed to Crimson Scarlet, Civil Warcraft
The Civil War seems a bit... well, unfitting. Dwarves angry with Night Elves? Worgen siding with Horde? Nah, not really working. I'm sure we'll see alot of messy stuff in Cataclysm anyway.
11. New Races and Tribes: Description of Tribes and Clans
Alot of them just isn't possible really, as they weren't "found" at the time of "level 1".Mag'har, Taunka, Vrykul, Iron and Earthen Dwarves. Eredar (ie. Burning Legion) would simply not be allowed in any way at all.

Thanks and the Area Looting is changed to regular loot radius.
Damn! Lol!
Go to
Player Interaction
and head to
Vocational Dungeon
and it's the 2nd and 3rd red suggestion.
It's just an idea. Trying to expand the difficulty of this game but it's hard when Blizzard has simplified it so many times. I removed it.
This Shaman AoE idea would make them so much fun!
The Improved Pet talents would not change what they currently do but would
also
change what that specific pet looks like.
Yeah it was a bit.
Max mana percentage wouldn't be great but maybe a percentage of base mana.
More heirlooms is OK of an idea but the tanking heirlooms sounds amazing to me.
Civil Warcraft was slightly not my idea. I just punctuated a thought about after Sargeras is dead then there would only be civil war. The Crimson Scarlet idea was a thought of an enemy after Sargeras is dead.
True but the races that weren't found until higher level wouldn't really be a race but a tribe. So you could just start off as a Mag'har or maybe just add in more skin colors and height to create the brown half-ogre half-orc look to an orc.

Some are better than others, Tauren racial is OP. Maybe 1% if you really want all the tanks to race change.

Yeah I figured 3% of max health would be a bit much. On a 30k PvP warrior that's an extra 1000 health. It's not THAT over powered but it could go down to 2%.

a new gathering profession to go with woodworking--lumberjack. there are tons of trees all over, but to keep from having tons of people getting 450/450, do like they did before the tournament patch--remember the icecrown daily to go get lumber from crystalsong forest? make tree nodes! they've already shown that the can do it, now it's time to put those axes to use.
and i would like to see something implemented that would make you buy the white armor from vendors to make your own armor. not just for epics, but for all levels of crafting. make it the base item. otherwise, what is the point of the vendors selling that garbage anyways? and you can then use all that trash loot you pick up too. and the better that the base item (the junk you buy from the vendor or the loot you were going to sell) the better the final item. i can see how some of the items in game (mostly plate armor and some weapons) wouldn't need it, but this would make some stuff more realistic in terms of materials used.
just my two cents

Your Lumberjack idea is great! Woodcarving needing Lumberjack gathering. I'll add this to my
Professions
portion with you as the author. I'll go more into detail to it as well so if I mess up please tell me.
Base item would be the vendor white items for crafting. That could work but some of them are like 34g at level 80 but I guess that's still not that high since everyone has enough to purchase epic flying training now a days. I'll add this bit to that suggestion.
