Poisons
* Deadly Poison now has an additional effect - Once stacked to 5 times, each application of Deadly Poison also causes the poison on the Rogue's other weapon to apply.
Asssassination
* Improved Poisons now increases the chance to apply Deadly poison to your target by 4/8/12/16/20%. (Up from 2/4/6/8/10%)

im doing weapon swapping now, and from my experience, this is a hell of a buff, especially for the 10 to 20% enhanced dp proc.
i want it now. (i expect e nerf prior patch goes live)

Why? Combat will benefit from the changes as well. Not that much, you are right, but it will anyway.

mutilate will benefir more of the buff due to improved poisons and enevnom buff, but combat will benefit from this a lot anyway.
best solution imho, weapon swapping without weapon swapping :P

Except that, from what I've read, at least on current content, Combat pulls ahead of Mutilate right now, because of the nature of the encounters. We'll have to see what our role will be like in the Icecrown encounters, but it's very likely that this Improved Poisons change is merely to get Mutilate rogues caught up.

imho the reasoning is to stop people weapon swapping mid-fight. This clearly isn't something they intended for the class. It means rogues need an extra weapon, and give those with addons a distinct advantage over those without.
I believe that had they not done this they would have nerfed it by only allowing poisons applied to 2 weapons at a time or made it so you couldn't weapons swap during combat.
I thoroughly expect this to be nerfed. The only reason they had to do this is because they've already @#$%ed off rogues by saying they'd finally fix vanish then removing it.

I was referring to the Improved Poisons change being to help Mutilate catch up, not specifically the Deadly Poison change. DP was definitely changed to kill the swapping.
That being said, it turns out we may see Improved Poisons becoming part of the Combat spec, as opposed to using Relentless Strikes, so both trees will see a benefit from Improved Poisons.
