It slows down my searches to a mindnumbing crawl.

I have the same issue, I run this game in full screen windowed mode on a dual-monitor system so I can easily swap between the game and whatever else I am doing (watching a DVD, keeping track of guild DKP, music, etc...)
When I try to search now, it takes forever and makes the game jump madly until the site figures out what its trying to autocomplete. I'd greatly desire the option to turn it off, however, I dont want to have to log in each time to have to turn it off.
The slowdown seems to be caused by the code more than the internet connection speed, although it could be a combination of both.
When I start to enter search information the cursor freezes up and doesnt do anything for ~30 seconds to 1 minute.
My system may not be the newest available, but its definately no slouch:
Athlon 64 3700+
2 gig of ram
320 gig HD space RAID 0
ATI X850XT Video card
and my internet connection is Comcast Cable, which is more than plenty fast for the vast majority of applications including downloading while playing WoW without any perceivable lag.
If its any help, I to use a Dual View setup, however, the autocomplete doesn't cause any extra lag or framerate issues in WoW when I enter a search on Wowhead.
Since it might help them figure out the difference between issues being caused and not being caused here is some of my own specs...
Firefox 2.0.0.12
XP Pro
Athlon 64 x2 4200+
2 gig ram
Geforce 7600 GS

Well, since the new dynamic search option I have problems when switching between tabs. It either takes about 30 seconds to switch or doesn't switch at all, so I have to close the browser. Also noticed that firefox uses %95 of my cpu when this happens.
I had no problems with the pre-dynamic search wowhead. I'm using the latest version of firefox but my computer is a little bit sloppy, here are my specs:
Celeron 2000
1 gig ram
GeForce 6600
Win XP Pro
I would switch to IE 7 if it solves the problem (currently have 6.0) but please don't force me to use the MS browser :'(
