Is it really too late to get into WoW?

It's freaking me out now that we are getting even more closer to the day people can fight the Lich King himself and there will this %^&* about world firsts and realm firsts and once that happens then like what happened at the end of TBC, WoW ends up in a dead state and for those who get to 80 and with another expansion coming, all people want to do then is Arena.
As for me, I have a 63 Druid on Vashj EU but it's on a pvp server and I don't like it so I want to start a new Gnome Warlock on a PvE server since Alliance feels right for me but I do have a few concerns. Because people rarely make new characters that level pass 20, it's like everybody else has already finished the game with full epic sets from the latest raid instance and I really don't like leveling without anyone to talk to as that's the sense of being lonely and would rather have friendly people to talk to that could be friends to be. I would like to level up in all the different dungeons even if they are old like Deadmines.
Another problem I think is that everybody prefers doing Ulduar or later instances now and because of that it's made Naxx obsolete and so how am I meant to get gear now since Naxx is an old instance that everybody else has done before back when it was a level 60 raid. People don't like old stuff so why Blizzard did it is stupid. By the time I'm ready it's already too late because time flys while you level and gear up and the next expansion is already on the arisen and by that time people don't want to do Lich King again...

you could always start a DK to play or help your new character out (they make good enough gold coming out of the starting area). Or if your willing to dish out $25, you could always move your 63 over too.
as for starting out from scratch, you could try joining a guild and see if they're willing to help out with runs and gear (plus you get to chat with them). With 3.2 coming out, getting around will be easier as you'll get your mount earlier.
One issue i did find is finding pugs for instances at those lower levels...majority of the time, the new ones dont know about the LFG tab and the alts want to buy the runs.
As for Naxx in my realm, i still see LFGs everyday. The one i see least is EoE.

Well I'm already aware of the DK thing to give you easy gold so money is not an issue for me, although if you say people don't do The Eye of Eternity then that really messes things up if your trying to get gear. Also as for guilds, I've never had much luck with them, there are too few leveling guilds and to be honest guilds are only best if they are a raiding guild.

You'll meet people as you level up.
Talk with them, find a guild to join and you'll be having fun in no time.
As for instances,
there's always people pugging Naxx/OS/EoE/VoA/Ulduar on the servers I play on.
Even if Naxx is an "old instance" people will still do it for gear, and even though it was released at 60, very few people were able to actually complete it, let alone see it.
Besides, when patch 3.2 hits, you will be able to get gear around the same level as Ulduar gear, just by doing heroics, so you can catch up to higher-geared players fairly quickly.
Doesn't that make raids obsolete and pointless if they did that?

You could try looking for the Newcomer forums to find good, friendly servers, maybe even a leveling partner, then go to that server forum and see what leveling guilds there are. You just have to get out there and /wave with people.

pugwise i see EoE the least...i do see it occasionally, but out of all the WOTLK raids, thats the least.

Don't be discouraged by old world Azeroth looking dead (as it pretty much is.) The game was made around the ability to solo since pretty much release, and the second your new toon hits around 60 you'll find plenty of other people running around ,running outlands instances, etc - a big part of that being the huge influx of DKs.
Especially with 3.2 coming up, you can be nearly as geared as the average Ulduar geared 80 with enough heroic/naxx runs.
Just make sure the server you pick for your new toon is populated. (high/full)

That's sounds odd, if WoW was meant for solo then what was the reason for old WoW?

Its never to late to start. I didn't start playing until after WotLK and its going just fine.
Azeroth is not dead or abandoned (at least not on my server). 80s are always leveling alts and contrary to popular belief, new players sign on every day.
Pugging isn't a problem, it just takes a little effort. If you can afford to spend an hour looking for a party as you quest, you will be able to get in any instance you want.

Join a guild.
That's really the best advice you're going to see in this thread. Find a casual guild on your server and join up, be sociable and friendly; don't constantly badger for help, and be willing to help lower levels in the guild as well.
Even if you're only able to be on a few hours a couple of nights a week, a casual guild should have no problem with this. It will give you a steady pool of people to level with or to help you out in their spare time.
Doesn't that make raids obsolete and pointless if they did that?
What will happen is this: Starting in 3.2 you will be able to get Emblems of Conquest (currently only dropped by high-end content) from heroics and lower-level raids. By running a lot of heroics or grinding Naxx, you will be able to purchase 4 to 6 Ulduar-equivalent pieces of gear. There will still be plenty of unique Ulduar gear that you can't purchase with badges, as well as Ulduar hard mode gear drops.
Raiders who currently are in Ulduar content will be able to progress quickly into the new Argent Tournament raids, while others will be able to get there but only after a period of running heroics and Naxx.
That's sounds odd, if WoW was meant for solo then what was the reason for old WoW?
I don't agree that WoW was meant for soloing; it's possible to
level
on your own, but much of the content has always been designed around the need to group up.

Actually I think I'll be female Human instead for the Warlock, there's nothing wrong with Gnomes of course just to let you know. =)
Just can't resist playing as a hot chick. XD

The Eye of Eternity then that really messes things up if your trying to get gear.
I think it's pretty safe to say you can raid naxx then go to ulduar without ever bothering with getting one of the 23 or so total drops from this one boss fight. skipping EoE you will be missing nothing.
and in my expirence, trying to find the people who can do it, isn't worth the struggle.

No.
That's the short answer to the OP. It's not too late because Blizzard has accommodated for the increased level cap by making it easier to level, should anyone new without prior experience decide to join the fun.

It's finding a good server that's a problem now, the newest PvE EU server was Saurfang but I see too many level 60-80's now. =(
