Hallow's End 2009 (Oct 18 - Oct 31) - Quest Guide + Information!By Miyari on 10/17/2009 at 6:45 PM PST

It's that time again folks—time to dress up in a ridiculous costume, and go score some treats! It's Hallow's End! Hallow's End runs from October 18 - October 31 and can be celebrated in any major city or inn! Check out our extensive guide after the break! [toc]
Treats and Goodies!
There are three major sources of fun, seasonal items that can be acquired during the Hallow's End festival: (Item #20393), (Item #34077), and the Headless Horseman. (Item #20393) can be obtained via Trick or Treating with the innkeeper of a friendly inn. If the innkeeper decides to give you a treat, he will award you a (Item #20393), which has a chance to contain a Flimsy Mask, Hallowed Wand, or candy. However, the innkeeper may instead opt to play a trick on you, typically shapeshifting you into a bat, cat, ghost or pirate. Once you have trick or treated on a character, you will gain the (Spell #24755) debuff which will prevent you from Trick or Treating for one hour. A (Item #34077) can be obtained after protecting a low level Alliance (Goldshire, Kharanos, or Azure Watch) or Horde (Razor Hill, Falconwing Square, or Brill) village from the Shade of the Horseman (see the Quests section below). The matrons located in these villages will ask for your aid in putting out fires in local buildings. When the Shade of the Horseman has been defeated, a large Jack-o-Lantern will appear on the ground that gives the quest (Quest #12155) (Alliance) which can be turned in at the nearby Matron. The Matron will reward you with a sum of gold and a (Item #34077), which can contain candy, masks, or even riding brooms! The Headless Horseman is a level 80 boss that can be summoned in the Graveyard of Scarlet Monastery. This encounter can be completed easily by a decently-geared 5-man of level 80 players. The quest to summon the Headless Horseman can only be completed once per day, per person. For more information check out the section below!
Candy Buckets
Seasonal, pumpkin-shaped Candy Buckets are located inside every inn, near the Innkeeper. Each bucket offers a one-time quest that can be completed and rewards a small sum of gold and a (Item #37586), which contains a small assortment of seasonal snacks. These snacks include (Item #37582), (Item #37583), (Item #37585), and (Item #37584). Visiting all friendly inn buckets on continent will reward an achievement. Locations Check out the related achievements below for a list of all buckets. Eastern Kingdoms: Alliance / Horde Kalimdor: Alliance / Horde Outland: Alliance / Horde Northrend: Will be updated! :) Just check every inn you come across (though there is no achievement for them at this time)!
